Nine returns the dots
It has been a while since Channel Nine dropped the original dots but they have now moved back.
After being shown for a few weeks now during the Cricket, Nine finally revealed their full changes today with the most obvious being the on-air presentation and watermark.
As can be seen from the above image (click for full scale complete with correct location and dimensions), Nine has altered their watermark to now be inside the 4:3 frame (annoying for widescreen and high definition programs), it is much brighter and has a 3D effect to it.
The positioning is the exact same for analogue, widescreen SD and HD with the only exception of HD programs having the "HD" letters besides the logo.
After Ten saw the light and reduced both the size and opacity of their watermark, it is unfortunate to see Nine making their logo worse. If anyone wants to make changes in the way Ten did, please call the local station with complaints. It is the only thing that will stop half our screens being covered by unnecessary branding.
